最新报道:According to Bijie.com, Grvt hopes to attract retail liquidity to its platform by offering traders the same advantages typically reserved for institutions. DeFi is gradually narrowing the gap between institutional and retail traders. On Thursday, August 21st, crypto.news exclusively reported that on-chain finance platform Grvt (pronounced "gravity") announced the launch of a -1 basis point (-0.01%) maker fee rebate for all users. This effectively means retail traders will receive the same compensation as institutional participants for being market makers. "By offering rebates to reward retail traders for placing maker orders, we not only increase market depth but also create the conditions to attract more institutional taker liquidity. This aims to extend incentives once reserved for institutions to the broader retail community, ensuring a more balanced and liquid market for everyone," said Hong Yea, co-founder and CEO of Grvt. Unlike CEXs and traditional financial platforms, where only market makers are eligible for rebates, Grvt will passively reward all users. With this move, the DeFi platform aims to attract more retail liquidity. This could reduce hidden costs for traders, tighten spreads, and deepen order books, thereby helping to lower costs across the market. Despite their advantages in security and privacy, DeFi platforms still lag in retail adoption. CEXs offer simple onboarding and user experience and dominate in spot trading volume and user numbers. In the second quarter of 2025, total spot trading volume on CEXs was $3.9 trillion, while that on DEXs was $876.3 billion. Grvt is a peer-to-peer, self-custodial platform designed to integrate everyday traders into the financial system. Its exchange is built on zkSync's zero-knowledge infrastructure, enabling privacy and high throughput.
