最新报道:According to Bijie.com, Bitcoin tipping has officially launched on X, bringing peer-to-peer cryptocurrency payments to millions of users. Powered by BitBit and Spark, this new feature allows instant Bitcoin transfers via the Lightning Network, enabling creators and communities to receive tips at minimal cost and without having to set up a wallet. Bitcoin tipping now available to millions of X users According to the announcement, the integration leverages Spark's Lightning infrastructure to process payments almost instantly at a fraction of traditional fees. BitBit confirmed the rollout in a post on X, noting that users can now tip creators and communities worldwide in real time. This new feature extends Bitcoin beyond transactions to creator monetization, micropayments, and community support within mainstream social networks. Lightspark Powers the Feature Lightspark built the infrastructure for this launch. The company designed Spark as a scalable, low-cost way to power financial applications on Bitcoin. It has partnered with companies like Coinbase, NuBank, and Bitso to provide Lightning-based solutions. Lightspark co-founder and CEO David Marcus explained Spark's reliance on Bitcoin: Musk's "Everything App" Vision Takes Shape The rollout reflects Elon Musk's ambition to transform X into a multi-purpose platform. BeInCrypto reports that digital asset integration has long been central to X's vision of a "super app." Analysts believe the tipping feature is the first test case for broader payment functionality, potentially paving the way for subscriptions, in-app purchases, and commerce. Musk's model emulates Asia's super apps, where social features seamlessly merge with financial services. This isn't the first time a social platform has experimented with Bitcoin tipping. In 2021, Twitter briefly enabled Bitcoin tipping powered by Lightning. Tools like ChangeTip and Tippin.me have also experimented with BTC micropayments on Twitter, Reddit, and YouTube, while Steemit uses tokens to reward content. Most initiatives have struggled to scale and achieve regulatory compliance, making X the first global platform to natively embed Bitcoin tipping. How the Tipping Experience Works on X X users can access the tipping feature through the tip icon on their profiles on iOS and Android, including within Spaces. Payments link directly to third-party services like Strike, allowing senders to display amounts in satoshis or BTC. Users can also copy a Bitcoin or Ethereum address to send tips from external wallets. According to X's FAQ, the platform itself does not take a cut of tips, but third-party services may. X does not set tip limits, but payment providers may restrict amounts according to their terms. Recipients see the sender's username from the selected service, and transactions are subject to each provider's policies. Bitcoin Micropayments Face Their Biggest Test For creators, Bitcoin tipping offers a new revenue stream independent of advertising or centralized processors. For the community, it provides a way to instantly reward contributors and fund initiatives. Regulatory oversight and Bitcoin's price volatility remain challenges, but the efficiency of Lightning and its integration in X create a strong platform for BTC as a payment method. The success of this rollout will depend on user adoption. If the tipping feature gains widespread traction, it could potentially bring Bitcoin micropayments to mass adoption and inspire similar integrations on other platforms. Currently, X offers Bitcoin the broadest opportunity yet to transition from a speculative asset to everyday use.
