Officials stated that maintaining two chains simultaneously was no longer feasible, and the core game content will be migrated to the Proof of Play platform on Abstract, with the potential for future cross-chain porting. Founder's Pirates will complete the final PIRATE token distribution and subsequently convert it into a community identity NFT, with no further token claims supported. Pirate Nation is the first game from blockchain gaming startup Proof of Play, which previously raised $33 million in funding led by a16z.
