最新报道:BRICS has expanded to 11 member nations as of 2025, representing over 40% of the global population and 37.3% of world GDP. The alliance, originally founded in 2006 by Brazil, Russia, India, and China (joined by South Africa in 2010), recently added Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran, UAE (2024), Indonesia (2025), and Saudi Arabia (July 2025). Chinese President Xi Jinping stated the expansion "injects new vitality" into BRICS cooperation. Currently, 32 countries have expressed interest in joining, with 23 submitting formal applications.
