Initially centralized, Zink will feature "zProfiles" using zero-knowledge proofs for global permission settings and automated transactions. CEO Michael Wagner stated the chain will start as permissioned with Solana validators, aiming for full decentralization within 18-24 months. A December mainnet launch is planned, with a ZINK token airdrop next month rewarding community activity and Star Atlas gameplay. The move follows a broader trend of identity-focused chains like Worldcoin and Moca Chain.
