最新报道:Maple Finance, the largest on-chain asset management firm by assets under management, has launched syrupUSDC as collateral for Drift Protocol perpetual futures trading. According to a press release shared with crypto.news on August 13th, the integration enables traders on the Solana-based decentralized exchange to earn a 7% to 8% APR on their margin collateral while actively trading. Drift (DRIFT), the second-largest perpetual futures DEX on Solana (SOL), with $1.21 billion in total locked value, currently supports syrupUSDC and its existing cross-collateralization system. This addresses a long-standing capital efficiency gap in DeFi margin trading, allowing traders to generate passive income or offset financing costs without moving assets out of their positions. To encourage adoption, Maple (SYRUP) has deployed $100,000 in incentives and set an initial supply cap of $50 million for syrupUSDC collateral on Drift. This launch builds on Maple's June expansion of syrupUSDC to Solana, which initially launched on platforms like Kamino and Orca (ORCA) with $30 million in liquidity. Powered by Chainlink's cross-chain interoperability protocol, the deployment minted $60 million on Solana within two weeks. Maple CEO Sid Powell stated that the integration creates "additional capital possibilities for traders that would not otherwise be possible," enabling them to trade, earn yield, and compound returns simultaneously. Drift's cross-margin architecture also enables syrupUSDC to be used with other collateral types, an uncommon feature on decentralized exchanges, which typically restrict collateral to US dollars or USD Coin (USDC). SyrupUSDC has become the fastest-growing yield-generating stablecoin in DeFi, with $1.90 billion in assets under management. It generates income from Maple's institutional lending pool, which has an average annualized yield of 5.20% on Bitcoin (BTC) yield products and 9.20% on high-yield products through Q2 2025. Maple currently manages $3.24 billion in assets, surpassing BlackRock's on-chain AUM, and has raised its year-end target to $5.00 billion. With this launch, Maple is poised to become more prominent within Solana's growing DeFi ecosystem and set the standard for incorporating yield-generating stablecoins into leveraged trading environments. Furthermore, it positions syrupUSDC as a margin collateral option for upcoming listings on other protocols.
