最新报道:According to Bijie.com, on August 12th, HTX market data showed that XMR (XMR) fell over 10% in the 24-hour period, temporarily closing at $246.61, due to news of a 51% attack on Monero. As previously reported, Qubic, a project developed by IOTA co-founder Sergey Ivancheglo, rapidly accumulated significant Monero hashrate through the "Usable Proof of Work" (uPoW) mechanism. On August 12th, Qubic briefly controlled 52.72% of the Monero network's hash rate (approximately 3.01 GH/s). Once this control exceeds 51%, Qubic can reject blocks from other mining pools, leading to chain reorganizations, double-spending, or transaction censorship. The Monero community has launched a boycott and defensive action, with Qubic claiming the move was a technical demonstration and not a malicious attack.
