White House Crypto Council Head Steps Down, Deputy Director Takes Over

最新报道：The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has delayed its decision on Grayscale's application to convert its Ethereum Trust into a spot Ethereum ETF, extending the review period by 45 days. The SEC cited the need for additional time to evaluate the proposed rule change and address concerns related to fraud prevention and market manipulation. Grayscale had filed the application in October 2023, following its successful legal battle to convert its Bitcoin Trust into a spot Bitcoin ETF. The delay comes amid growing regulatory scrutiny of crypto-related investment products, with several spot Ethereum ETF applications from major firms like BlackRock and Fidelity also pending SEC approval. Market analysts suggest the SEC may make a coordinated decision on all Ethereum ETF applications by May 2024.
