The Hong Kong-based startup, which recently raised $20 million at a $1.1 billion valuation, enables users to verify information like job listings or airline loyalty status without exposing sensitive data. Unlike biometric solutions such as Worldcoin, zkTLS ensures data remains in the user's browser. Initially targeting travelers, the protocol allows linking loyalty accounts to a "Human ID" for cross-platform reputation. Future plans include node expansion, on-chain ticketing, and decentralized governance. CEO Terence Kwok emphasized the practical infrastructure for decentralized identity, ensuring privacy without central oversight. The protocol aims to counter Sybil attacks while avoiding data collection.
