Crenshaw, known for her anti-crypto stance, voted against all 13 crypto-related ETF proposals on July 29 but was consistently outvoted by other commissioners. Balchunas noted her predictable opposition carries little weight in final decisions. Separately, Crenshaw had criticized the SEC's proposed Ripple settlement, claiming the agency feared winning its appeal—a settlement later rejected by the court. The SEC has yet to drop its appeal against Ripple.
