最新报道:According to Bitget Wallet, Bitget Wallet has debuted its zero-fee cryptocurrency card in Brazil, powered by Mastercard and infrastructure provider Immersve, with its sights set on expansion in Latin America. According to a press release sent to crypto.news, the USD-based zero-fee cryptocurrency card will be available to Bitget Wallet users in Brazil starting August 6th. The company has plans to expand the card to other regions in Latin America, including Argentina, Mexico, Colombia, Chile, Peru, and Guatemala. This expansion is expected to take place "in the coming months" following the Brazilian launch. "Latin America is one of the most vibrant crypto economies in the world and a natural next step in our global expansion," said Jamie Elkaleh, Bitget Wallet's Chief Marketing Officer. This marks the first expansion of the crypto card beyond Europe. Initially, the card will only be available in the UK and parts of the EU. However, the company plans to expand its availability to more regions, with the goal of expanding to Australia and New Zealand in the coming months after Latin America. The card, accessible through the Bitget Wallet app, leverages Mastercard Digital First technology for instant crypto-to-fiat conversion, enabling users to spend crypto directly at over 150 million merchants accepting Mastercard. Users can instantly top up their crypto card balance with USDC (USDC) without platform fees, and spend stablecoins through Apple Pay and Google Pay. According to a press release, the card offers a way to earn up to 10% annual interest on idle wallet balances while empowering users to use it for everyday purchases. In recent months, Mastercard has accelerated its entry into the crypto payments space, launching services that integrate cryptocurrencies (such as stablecoins) and other blockchain-based digital assets into its global payments infrastructure. In fact, Mastercard predicted in early June that all its transactions in the European Union would be tokenized by 2030. The payments company aims to completely eliminate manual card transactions and tokenize e-commerce transactions entirely through blockchain. In April 2025, the company demonstrated comprehensive stablecoin payment capabilities, allowing users and merchants to send, receive, and settle stablecoin transactions through partnerships with companies such as OKX, Nuvei, Gemini, MetaMask, and Crypto.com. At the end of June, Mastercard partnered with Chainlink to enable off-chain payments for on-chain cryptocurrency purchases, enabling over 3 billion users to directly convert fiat to cryptocurrencies through traditional finance combined with Web3 infrastructure.
