最新报道:According to a report by Bijie.com, Amanda Fischer, Chief of Staff to former U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Chairman Gary Gensler, compared cryptocurrency's liquidity pledge mechanism to the asset re-hypothecation that led to the collapse of Lehman Brothers, sparking widespread controversy in the industry. Fischer, speaking on the social media platform X, stated that the SEC's stance on liquidity pledges is tantamount to endorsing Lehman Brothers-like practices. Several industry experts have refuted this. Matthew Sigel, Head of Digital Asset Research at VanEck, pointed out inconsistencies in Fischer's argument; Austin Campbell, Founder of Zero Knowledge Consulting, believed it reflected policymakers' traditional perspective on cryptocurrencies; and blockchain lawyer Kurt Watkins argued that Fischer overinterpreted the SEC's position, stating that the SEC's guidance primarily targets liquidity pledges that lack autonomous decision-making authority.
