U.S. Awards $50M to Swiss Auterion for 33,000 AI Strike Kits to Ukraine by 2024

最新报道：Swiss drone manufacturer Auterion has been awarded a $50 million contract to supply Ukraine with 33,000 AI-powered strike drone kits, as part of Western efforts to bolster Kyiv's defense capabilities against Russian forces. The deal, funded by the UK, Canada, the Netherlands, Sweden, and Lithuania, will provide Ukrainian forces with advanced reconnaissance and strike drones capable of autonomous target identification. Auterion CEO Lorenz Meier stated the drones will enhance Ukraine's asymmetric warfare capabilities, while UK Defense Secretary Grant Shapps emphasized the importance of drone technology in modern combat. Deliveries are expected to begin in early 2025.
