This move comes despite Wood's previous criticism of futures-based Bitcoin ETFs like BITO for their high roll costs. ARKW's latest filing shows it holds $3.5 million in BITO and $2.3 million in GBTC, along with smaller positions in Valkyrie Bitcoin Miners ETF (WGMI) and Global X Blockchain ETF (BKCH). The purchases suggest ARK is strategically diversifying its crypto exposure while awaiting SEC approval for its own spot Bitcoin ETF application.
