最新报道:According to the news from the Coinnet, the leading Solana staking protocol Marinade Finance has obtained SOC 2 Type 2 compliance certification after months of rigorous audits, becoming one of the first companies in the staking ecosystem to achieve this gold standard security certification. This milestone not only verifies its operational excellence and institutional readiness, but also paves the way for Marinade to become the exclusive staking provider for the upcoming US Solana exchange-traded fund. Marinade has become one of the first protocols in the staking ecosystem to achieve this goal and shared the details on X. The platform said that compliance with the information security standard Service Organization Control Type 2 was achieved after months of comprehensive audits by BDO. The audit focused on the security controls, access management systems and staking infrastructure of Marinade Finance (MNDE). It also included a review of the protocol's validator operations, data confidentiality and privacy protection. Cryptocurrency-friendly bank Custodia Bank obtained the SOC 2 Type 2 certification in January 2025. SOC 2 Type 2 is a cybersecurity compliance standard developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. It is a compliance standard that goes beyond the Type 1 certification’s examination of an organization’s security controls at a specific time. Marinade Finance received its Type I compliance certification earlier this year. As for SOC 2 Type 2, the audit is designed to assess a given organization’s operational effectiveness around relevant controls over an extended period of time. The main consideration is a 6-12 month period. “As a liquidity staking protocol, obtaining SOC 2 Type 2 requires us to demonstrate operational excellence on an infrastructure that is much more complex than centralized platforms,” said Hadley Stern, Chief Compliance Officer at Marinade. “This certification proves that a blockchain protocol can meet the highest institutional security standards without compromising decentralization.” In this context, obtaining SOC 2 Type 2 certification makes Marinade a potentially excellent platform for institutional clients. The main takeaway is “operational security and compliance readiness.” Certifications are important for various organizational milestones, including institutional partnerships and regulatory approval processes. Marinade said obtaining SOC 2 Type 2 “clears the way for the protocol to become the primary staking platform for the much-anticipated spot Solana exchange-traded fund.” “This compliance achievement is particularly significant as Marinade, through our Marinade Select institutional platform, serves as the exclusive collateral provider for the upcoming US Solana ETF application. ETF providers need to demonstrate excellent operational security and regulatory readiness — exactly what SOC 2 Type 2 compliance provides,” the platform wrote. The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is reviewing several Solana ETF applications, and experts recently noted that the likelihood of approval in the coming months is high. Companies that have chosen Marinade as their collateral solution include Zodia Custody, BitGo, and Canary Capital.
