最新报道:India's Finance Ministry has declared that all cryptocurrency businesses operating in the country must register with the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) under anti-money laundering laws, despite the sector remaining unregulated. Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary clarified that while crypto isn't banned, entities must comply with Prevention of Money Laundering Act provisions. The move comes as global regulators increase scrutiny on digital assets, with India implementing stricter reporting requirements for virtual asset transactions since March 2023. Domestic crypto exchanges like CoinDCX and WazirX have already registered with FIU, while international platforms face new compliance obligations to serve Indian users.
