最新报道:According to the news from the Coin World Network, as the adoption of stablecoins becomes more mainstream, the security risks associated with them are also increasing. Which tokens are leading in terms of security? In the first half of 2025, the use cases of stablecoins surged, with monthly settlement volume increasing by 43% to $1.39 trillion. According to the security company, this rapidly growing adoption masks growing gaps in security posture, compliance, and operational risks, which still need to be addressed by the community. Therefore, CertiK has managed to rank the top fiat currency-pegged tokens from a security and risk perspective. The six-item Skynet rating framework evaluates each token based on factors such as operational resilience, governance strength, basic health, code security, market dynamics, and community trust. According to the Skynet framework, Tether's USDT (USDT) ranked first with an overall score of 94.72. The security company highlighted USDT's decision to increase its circulation from $138 billion to $154 billion in the first half of 2025. In second place was Circle's USDC (USDC), with a score of 93.37. After receiving the MiCA license and completing its IPO, Circle's token supply increased from $41 billion to $61 billion. Although it still lags slightly behind Tether, CertiK has called it the "fastest growing" major stablecoin. In third place is PayPal-Paxos's PYUSD (PYUSD), with a score of 91.47. The token's market cap doubled in the first half of 2025. The token's recent developments include expansion to Solana (SOL) and Arbitrum (ARB) and a rewards program. In fourth place is Sky's USDS, with a score of 90.09. The rebranding of DAI to Sky helped expand the token to multiple chains. Since launching on Solana, it has grown to become the fifth-largest stablecoin. Ripple's RLUSD (RLUSD) ranked fifth with a Skynet framework score of 89.89. Although it still lags behind USDT and USDC in terms of supply and security mechanisms, CertiK noted that the token has not had any security incidents since its launch. Other notable tokens mentioned in the top 10 include First Digital USD (FDUSD), Paxos’ USDG, Ethena’s USDe (USDE) and USDtb, and World Liberty Financial’s own USD1. According to blockchain security firm CertiK, as many as 344 cryptocurrency security incidents have occurred in the past year. These incidents have resulted in the theft of $2.47 billion worth of crypto assets across the industry. Although these incidents are not always directly related to stablecoins, they often bear the brunt of attacks compared to regular tokens. For example, the price of First Digital USD plummeted to $0.76 due to rumors in the market about whether its reserves were safe. It was only able to recover its value of $1.00 after the issuer disclosed audited holdings to prove that its reserves were safe. This case shows that when it comes to stablecoins, things can easily fall apart. Due to the nature of tokens pegged to fiat currencies, their reserves are considered sacred, unlike other tokens. One wrong move could cause the 1:1 ratio backed by real money to drop and lead to the collapse of the token. CertiK's report shows that vulnerabilities in the cryptocurrency space, such as hacks, death spirals, and price depegging, are mostly caused by operational failures rather than technical flaws in the system. According to the study, vulnerabilities in systems where stablecoins are the main assets caused most of the losses.
