最新报道:KB Kookmin Bank reported a 168% surge in fraudulent accounts linked to its partnership with South Korean crypto exchange Bithumb. The bank identified 1,670 suspicious accounts in 2023, up from 623 the previous year, attributing the spike to criminals exploiting the tie-up for illegal activities. KB Kookmin has been Bithumb's exclusive real-name account provider since 2021 under South Korea's strict crypto regulations. The bank stated it's implementing enhanced monitoring systems and working closely with authorities to combat financial crimes. This development comes as South Korea tightens oversight of crypto exchanges following high-profile fraud cases.
