最新报道:According to the news from the Coin World, the cross-chain version of the popular USDT stablecoin has been integrated with Bitcoin Layer 2 Rootstock, adding interoperability to the world's most popular digital token pegged to the US dollar. "Now that Roostock is online, [USDT0] provides a unified, full-chain deployment fully backed by USDT on Ethereum at a 1:1 ratio, helping to simplify liquidity and enhance interoperability in the BTCFi ecosystem," USDT0 developers and Rootstock said in a statement on Tuesday. USDT0 is a full-chain version of Tether's USDT stablecoin designed for inter-blockchain compatibility. Although the asset is fully backed by USDT, it is not directly managed by Tether. Everdawn Labs manages USDT0 and aims to reduce the friction and costs involved in using USDT on different blockchains. Lorenzo R., co-founder of USDT0, told The Block: "By bringing USDT0 to Rootstock, we are making it easier for users to move stable value directly into Bitcoin-based applications. Rootstock gives developers the same flexibility as on Ethereum while being anchored to Bitcoin's proof-of-work. Timing-wise, we think it's important to support BTCFi now, especially with the growing interest in truly Bitcoin-native applications." USDT0 has been deployed on Ethereum, Arbitrum, Unichain, and OP Superchain ecosystems. Ben Sanders, Chief Growth Officer of Rootstock, told The Block: "The integration of USDT0 marks a new chapter for the Rootstock ecosystem. It means our users, builders, and institutions now have access to one of the world's most trusted and widely used stablecoins." Launched in 2018, Rootstock is a DeFi Layer that aims to combine the programmability of Ethereum with the value storage and decentralization of Bitcoin. Originally based on Ethereum, Tether's USDT is the world's most popular stablecoin pegged to the US dollar based on market cap. According to The Block Data Dashboard, USDT’s supply currently exceeds $160 billion. Sanders also said: “USDT0 makes it easier to hold and transfer stable value on Rootstock, and we expect this will drive more bridged TVL, trading, and greater use of DEX and lending protocols.” [The Block]
