最新报道：A New Zealand woman has been charged with murdering her elderly mother, prosecutors said on Monday, days before the murder, after she allegedly ran a cryptocurrency "exit scam" that saw her withdraw thousands of dollars through fake trading gains, while losing more than $40,000 in cryptocurrency and Bitcoin investments the previous year. Julia DeLuney was tried in the Wellington High Court for the murder of her 79-year-old mother, Helen Gregory. The case took place on January 24, 2024, at Gregory's home in Khandallah. Prosecutors accused DeLuney of faking the scene to make it look like her mother fell from the attic, but forensic experts determined that the fatal injuries, including multiple blunt force trauma to the victim's head, did not match the characteristics of a fall.
