The stablecoin issuer regularly blacklists suspicious addresses involved in scams or thefts to comply with law enforcement requests. This latest freeze follows Tether's August action blocking 15 addresses containing $3.6 million in USDT linked to phishing attacks. The company maintains its commitment to security while emphasizing that centralized freezes represent a small fraction of overall USDT transactions. Tether's transparency page shows over 1,300 addresses have been frozen to date across supported networks.
