Status Unveils Gasless Layer 2 Feature on Linea, Ditches Sequencer Fees Entirely

最新报道：Status Network has launched as the first natively gasless Layer 2 on Consensys' Linea zkEVM stack, eliminating transaction fees by generating yield from bridged assets and app fees. The testnet is live, with mainnet expected in Q1 2026. "Developers can ship games, social experiences, and DeFi without users preloading gas," said Cyprien Grau, lead at Status Network. The protocol converts bridged ETH and stablecoins into yield-bearing assets like stETH, distributing net yield to builders and liquidity providers. This model aims to create a self-sustaining ecosystem where gasless UX drives adoption and activity.
