The Dubai Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA) clarified that no approval was granted for TON's involvement in the residency-by-investment initiative, contradicting earlier reports. This follows TON Foundation's September announcement about collaborating with UAE on blockchain adoption. VARA emphasized it has not licensed any entity associated with TON for virtual asset services in Dubai. The regulator stated all virtual asset service providers must obtain proper licensing before operating in the emirate.
