最新报道:The line between decentralized finance (DeFi) and traditional finance (TradFi) could dissolve in the coming years, says Nelli Zaltsman, head of blockchain payments innovation at JPMorgan’s Kinexys. Speaking alongside Chainlink Labs co-founder Sergey Nazarov at the RWA Summit Cannes 2025 conference, Zaltsman said JPMorgan’s push to merge institutional-grade payments infrastructure with emerging on-chain assets marks a turning point in mainstream blockchain adoption. “Our goal has always been to find the best way to work with public blockchains, where the regulatory environment allows,” Zaltsman said. She described JPMorgan’s blockchain strategy as “asset agnostic,” designed to give clients access to multiple networks in real time while minimizing friction. The banking giant recently piloted sync settlement technology with Chainlink, allowing JPMorgan’s blockchain-based deposits to coordinate transactions on different blockchains. Nazarov called the milestone a “very early sign” of how large banks can connect traditional capital with digital asset markets. She noted that even a decade ago, JPMorgan had to build its own private blockchain due to a lack of suitable solutions. “Thankfully, that’s not the case today,” Zaltsman said. “It took years of development for the tools to be affordable and supportive,” she added. “I hope that convergence happens sooner rather than later… We start looking at it from the perspective of the technology itself and how we can help different users, rather than… setting up these artificial boundaries,” Zaltsman said. Last month, JPMorgan expanded its blockchain efforts by piloting its new deposit token, JPMD, on Coinbase’s Base network. Zaltsman called the launch “an exciting milestone for the team, and I think it’s a guiding light moment for us.” Unlike stablecoins, these deposit tokens remain within the bank’s deposit system while providing clients with direct access to blockchain-based markets, effectively connecting on-chain liquidity with institutional cash management. Nazarov also noted that cryptographic proofs and smart contracts can now offer smaller counterparties the same reliability as top banks, unlocking new opportunities in capital markets. “They can prove solvency through cryptographic means. They can verify things through smart contracts or oracle networks, through compliance engines,” he said, adding that this dynamic can promote competition and product innovation in the financial services sector.
