The Cyprus watchdog initially suspended the crypto-focused investment firm in November 2022 for non-compliance with anti-money laundering rules. Trek Labs, which offers crypto-asset services under the name CoinMENA, resolved the issues by enhancing its internal controls and governance. CySEC noted the company cooperated fully during the remediation process. The regulator maintains strict oversight of crypto firms to ensure compliance with EU financial regulations.
