币界网报道:Global stablecoin issuer Circle has launched its Euro-backed stablecoin EURC in the EU, expanding its dollar-pegged USDC ecosystem into the eurozone. The move comes as the EU's Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) regulation takes effect, providing regulatory clarity for stablecoins. EURC will initially be available on centralized exchanges including Bitget, Bitpanda and OKX, with plans to expand to decentralized platforms. Circle CEO Jeremy Allaire stated the launch marks a milestone in bridging traditional finance with blockchain technology in Europe. The eurozone's stablecoin market currently holds about $253.85 billion in capitalization, with EURC entering as a regulated alternative to existing offerings.
