Meanwhile, Japan continues to reiterate that they will not change their initial position of wanting all tariffs to be removed. Overnight News: Trump to send letter to Japan: Buy rice now Japan's Hayashi Yoshimasa: Japan will not do anything to sacrifice its agricultural sector in exchange for US trade talks. There is about a week left until the first deadline of July 9th. There will definitely be extensions, but we will have to see what happens to the countries that test Trump's patience. It looks like Japan is slowly starting to get on board.
