币界网报道:Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin expressed concerns about digital identity projects like Worldcoin, warning they could eliminate online pseudonymity. In a blog post, Buterin acknowledged the benefits of zero-knowledge-proof-based ID systems for combating AI bots but cautioned against rigid "one-person-one-ID" implementations. He noted such systems might force all online activity under a single public identity, removing privacy protections. While praising Worldcoin's use of ZK-proofs to verify humanity without revealing biometric data, Buterin warned the project could make multiple accounts impossible if widely adopted. The Worldcoin project, backed by OpenAI's Sam Altman, has scanned over 13 million users' irises to issue WLD tokens and digital IDs. Buterin proposed a decentralized alternative where no single entity controls identity issuance, as Worldcoin expands its US rollout and prepares a Visa card partnership while testing integration with Tinder in Japan.
