币界网报道：Chainlink and WEMIX have announced a strategic partnership to enhance cross-chain interoperability and security for the WEMIX3.0 mainnet. The collaboration will integrate Chainlink's Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) to enable secure asset and data transfers between WEMIX and other blockchain networks. This move aims to address the growing demand for seamless cross-chain functionality while mitigating risks associated with bridge hacks—a critical concern given that over $2 billion was lost to bridge exploits in 2022 alone. WEMIX, developed by South Korean gaming giant Wemade, operates as an Ethereum-compatible Layer 1 blockchain focused on gaming and NFT applications. The integration will initially focus on facilitating cross-chain transfers of WEMIX's native WEMIX token, with plans to expand support for other assets and messaging capabilities. Chainlink Labs' Chief Business Officer, Johann Eid, emphasized that CCIP provides "a single standardized interface" for cross-chain operations, reducing complexity for developers. The partnership follows WEMIX's recent technical upgrades, including its transition to a ZK-rollup based architecture earlier this year. This development comes as the blockchain gaming sector sees increasing activity, with WEMIX currently hosting over 40 dApps in its ecosystem. The collaboration represents another significant adoption case for Chainlink's cross-chain solution, which has recently been implemented by platforms like Synthetix and Aave.
