币界网报道：Russian woman Valeria Fedyakina was sentenced to seven years in prison by a Moscow court for planning and implementing a Ponzi scheme in 2023, defrauding investors of $23 million (2.2 billion rubles) worth of Bitcoin. She claimed that she could circumvent sanctions by making offshore crypto investments through Dubai, attracting a large amount of funds, with daily trading volume reaching $15 million at one point. Prosecutors said she actually transferred the funds to a wallet under her control and was arrested when she planned to flee to the UAE.
