币界网报道：Circle has launched Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol (CCTP) version 2 on Unichain, enabling instant USDC transfers across multiple blockchains. The upgrade introduces gas abstraction, allowing users to pay transaction fees in USDC instead of native tokens, and supports transfers to non-EVM chains like Solana. Unichain, a LayerZero-powered omnichain network, will leverage CCTP v2 to facilitate seamless cross-chain USDC movements with reduced complexity. The integration aims to enhance liquidity and interoperability in decentralized finance (DeFi) by eliminating the need for wrapped assets or bridges. Circle's CCTP v2 also features improved security measures and expanded chain support, including upcoming compatibility with Polkadot and Cosmos ecosystems. This development marks a significant step toward frictionless cross-chain transactions for the stablecoin, which currently circulates across 16 blockchains with $32 billion in supply.
