币界网报道:Prosecutors have requested a delay in the criminal case against former FTX executive Ryan Salame, citing ongoing negotiations for a potential resolution that could avoid a trial. Salame, who pleaded guilty last year to campaign finance violations and operating an unlicensed money-transmitting business, was scheduled for sentencing on May 28. The government's filing indicates both parties are working toward resolving the case, which stems from Salame's role in FTX's illegal political donations scheme. Prosecutors noted they've made "significant progress" in discussions with Salame's defense team. The former co-CEO of FTX's Bahamian subsidiary faces up to 10 years in prison under his plea agreement. This development comes as FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried serves a 25-year sentence for fraud, while other executives like Caroline Ellison and Gary Wang have cooperated with authorities after pleading guilty. The court has yet to rule on the prosecution's delay request.
