币界网报道:Ethereum developers are gearing up for the "Pectra" upgrade, a major network enhancement scheduled for early 2025 that aims to significantly improve scalability and user experience. The upgrade will combine Ethereum Improvement Proposals (EIPs) 3074 and 7251, introducing "account abstraction" to streamline transactions by allowing externally owned accounts to operate like smart contracts. This will enable batch transactions and sponsored transactions, reducing costs for end users. Additionally, Pectra will increase validator stake limits from 32 ETH to 2,048 ETH through EIP 7251, simplifying operations for large stakers. The upgrade follows April's successful Dencun hard fork and precedes the planned "Verkle Trees" implementation, which will further enhance Ethereum's scalability. Core developer Tim Beiko emphasized that Pectra represents another step in Ethereum's ongoing evolution, with the network continuously working to balance decentralization, security, and scalability improvements. The Ethereum community is currently testing these changes on various testnets before the mainnet deployment.
