币界网报道:Kraken has launched its new mobile payment app, Kraken Fintech, rebranded as "Krak," allowing users to send and receive crypto and fiat currencies across 110 countries. The app, initially available to select U.S. users, supports Bitcoin, Ethereum, and USD transactions with plans to expand to more assets and regions. Krak aims to simplify crypto payments by integrating with traditional banking systems, enabling instant transfers without network fees. Kraken CEO David Ripley emphasized the app's focus on bridging crypto and traditional finance, offering a seamless experience for both new and experienced users. The rollout follows Kraken's acquisition of Dutch crypto broker BCM last year, enhancing its European presence. Krak will compete with existing payment apps like PayPal and Venmo, leveraging Kraken's regulatory compliance and security infrastructure. The company plans to introduce additional features, including debit card integration and merchant services, later this year.
