The fund will focus on early-stage investments in blockchain infrastructure, fintech, and AI sectors, with plans to back 25-30 startups through seed and Series A rounds. Galaxy Digital CEO Mike Novogratz emphasized the firm's commitment to supporting "category-defining companies" in the digital asset ecosystem. The fund has already made several investments, including in blockchain infrastructure firm Gauntlet and crypto wallet provider Bastion. This marks Galaxy Digital's third venture fund, following previous funds raised in 2021 and 2022. The firm noted that institutional investors showed strong interest despite the current crypto market downturn, reflecting growing confidence in long-term blockchain adoption. Galaxy Ventures will leverage the parent company's expertise in trading, investment banking, and mining to provide portfolio companies with strategic support.
