币界网报道:Bit Digital (BTBT) announced its strategic shift from Bitcoin mining to focusing exclusively on Ethereum staking and treasury operations. The New York-based firm will exit Bitcoin mining entirely, repurposing its assets and capital toward its expanding ETH strategy, which began in 2022. As of March 31, Bit Digital held 24,434.2 ETH ($44.6M) and 417.6 BTC ($34.5M), with plans to gradually convert remaining Bitcoin into Ether. The company is selling or winding down its mining operations, reinvesting proceeds into ETH, though no timeline was provided. Additionally, Bit Digital will issue shares to acquire more Ether, while its HPC subsidiary, WhiteFiber, has filed a draft registration with the SEC for a potential IPO. The move follows industry challenges post-Bitcoin halving, despite BTC's recent rally. BTBT shares fell 3.41% in after-hours trading.
