币界网报道:Cardano is advancing its scalability solutions with new Layer 2 developments, aiming to enhance transaction speed and reduce costs. Input Output Global (IOG), the blockchain's developer, is focusing on integrating sidechains and off-chain protocols to alleviate congestion on the mainnet. Charles Hoskinson, Cardano's founder, emphasized that these upgrades will support decentralized applications (dApps) and smart contracts more efficiently, positioning the network to compete with Ethereum and other Layer 1 blockchains. The team is also exploring zero-knowledge proofs (ZKPs) and optimistic rollups to further optimize performance. These improvements come as Cardano faces criticism for slower adoption compared to rivals, but IOG remains confident that its methodical, research-driven approach will yield long-term benefits. The next phase, dubbed "Basho," prioritizes scalability and interoperability, with testnets expected to roll out in Q4 2023.
