币界网报道:Representatives from universities including the University of California, Berkeley School of Law, Georgetown University School of Law, and the University of Chicago Law School met with the SEC Crypto Asset Task Force on June 23, calling for stricter crypto staking regulations. These university representatives suggested that the term "staking" should only be used for products that perform protocol layer verification, and related retail marketing should be approved in advance. In addition, it was proposed to set a profit cap, limit intermediary fees to 5% of the reward, require public verification of node behavior and staking risks, and introduce bank-like regulatory thresholds for entities that control a large amount of equity. The SEC said it would consider the relevant suggestions. (Cryptoslate)
