币界网报道:Yield Protocol, a decentralized finance (DeFi) platform, is shutting down operations by the end of 2023, citing unsustainable business conditions and regulatory challenges. The team announced the decision on its official website, stating that all borrowing and lending functions will cease by December 31, with users urged to withdraw funds before then. Yield Protocol, which specialized in fixed-rate lending on Ethereum and Arbitrum, faced declining demand amid rising competition and unclear regulatory frameworks. The platform's native token, YIELD, has plummeted over 90% since its peak. Meanwhile, Infinifi, a blockchain-based banking startup, has raised $5.2 million in seed funding to build on-chain financial services. Backed by investors like Framework Ventures and Circle Ventures, Infinifi aims to bridge traditional banking with DeFi by offering compliant, yield-generating accounts. The startup plans to launch its platform in early 2024, targeting both crypto-native users and mainstream adopters.
