币界网报道:Codex, a new blockchain focused on stablecoin transactions, has launched its mainnet with native support for USDC. The layer-1 blockchain aims to optimize stablecoin transfers by offering instant finality and low fees, processing transactions in under a second for less than $0.01. Developed by former Meta engineers, Codex uses a delegated proof-of-stake consensus mechanism and is EVM-compatible, allowing seamless integration with Ethereum-based applications. The team highlights that Codex is designed specifically for stablecoins, avoiding the volatility and inefficiencies of general-purpose blockchains. Circle's USDC will serve as the primary gas token, with plans to integrate additional stablecoins in the future. The launch follows a $2.5 million seed funding round led by Hack VC, with participation from Circle Ventures and others. Codex is positioning itself as a solution for payments, remittances, and other stablecoin use cases where speed and cost efficiency are critical.
