Apple internally discusses acquisition of Perplexity AI to advance AI search engine development

币界网报道：Apple is discussing the acquisition of Perplexity AI to expand its artificial intelligence business. If the acquisition is successful, it will help Apple develop an AI-based search engine. As an alternative, if the acquisition fails, Apple plans to use Perplexity as one of the search engine options for the Safari browser. In addition, Meta previously abandoned negotiations to acquire Perplexity and instead invested approximately $14 billion in Scale AI to acquire a 49% stake in it.
