French parliament rejects Bitcoin mining proposal

最新报道：On June 19, Bitcoin.com News reported that the French National Assembly refused to discuss a proposal to include Bitcoin mining as a potential destination for France's energy surplus. The proposal was rejected for procedural reasons and failed to enter the substantive discussion stage. The proposal aims to evaluate "the conditions for the development of Bitcoin mining activities in France as a tool to exploit surplus electricity production, stabilize the grid and optimize the operation of nuclear power plants." If passed, France will become one of the few countries to include Bitcoin mining in its national energy strategy after El Salvador and Bhutan. According to local media reports, the proposal may have been rejected because it was considered to contain content that is not directly related to the subject of the bill. Since the rejection only involves the form of the proposal, theoretically a more concise amendment can be submitted in the future. However, analysts believe that since Bitcoin mining is still regarded as an environmental disaster in France, the possibility of similar proposals being approved in the short term is low.
