According to the investigation report issued on June 11, no internal personnel were found to be involved in the incident, and the attack method was similar to the previous international attack mode of the North Korean hacker organization "Lazarus Group", including asset theft incidents imitating the global bank SWIFT system and cryptocurrency exchanges. Through social engineering and malware to bypass multiple security protections, during the platform wallet system upgrade and asset transfer, disguised as normal operation to steal hot wallet assets. After the incident, BitoPro initiated emergency response measures, including shutting down the hot wallet system, replacing encryption keys, isolating and rebuilding the affected system, etc. On May 19, BitoPro took the initiative to provide the hot wallet address to the on-chain data tracking platform Arkham for updating the platform liquidity data. As of June 19, some wallet addresses have been updated and users can query them through the Arkham platform.
