币界网报道：U.K.-based startup Optalysys has launched LightLocker, the world's first blockchain server capable of processing encrypted data at scale without decryption using Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE). The hardware solution, designed specifically for blockchain applications, consumes 40% less energy than GPU-based systems while offering lower costs. Founded in 2013 by CEO Dr. Nick New and CTO Robert Todd, the Leeds-based company raised £21 million ($28 million) in Series A funding last July. "Confidential computing infrastructure is critical for mass blockchain adoption," stated New, noting that traditional encrypted blockchain hardware is both expensive and inefficient, while general-purpose chips lack specialization for encrypted transaction processing. The launch follows growing industry interest in FHE applications for cryptocurrency.
