According to previous official pricing, it costs more than $200,000 for a corporate account to obtain 200 million tweets per month, and platforms such as gmgn, ai16z and eliza may process about 1 billion requests per month. Some companies use third-party crawlers to save costs, and are therefore collectively banned. At the same time, bloggers who frequently mention gmgn and ai16z may also be misjudged as related matrix accounts. This incident also explains why many Web3 task platforms have difficulty maintaining operations, because API fees gradually exceed platform revenues, and after users complete Twitter tasks, the platform needs to pay the corresponding data request fees.
