Recently, new phishing attacks targeting EIP-7702 smart accounts have appeared on the Ethereum mainnet, BNB Chain and Base chain. Thousands of addresses have been victimized in just three days, with a loss of more than $10,000 in crypto assets. The attacker uses an address for authorization phishing. Once the user authorizes, the address can automatically transfer the BNB or other tokens that the user subsequently transfers. The GoPlus security team reminds users: Never transfer or authorize to unfamiliar addresses. The current 7702 scam is using historically leaked private key addresses to carry out large-scale phishing attacks, so be vigilant.
