币界网报道:Bybit, a major cryptocurrency exchange, has announced it will cease support for verified users in the European Union (EU) starting October 1, 2023. The decision comes as part of the exchange’s efforts to comply with evolving regulatory requirements in the region. Existing EU users will no longer be able to deposit or trade on the platform after the deadline, though withdrawals will remain available until further notice. Bybit advised affected users to close their open positions and withdraw funds before the cutoff date to avoid disruptions. The exchange emphasized its commitment to regulatory compliance and stated it is actively working to re-enter the EU market under a revised framework. This move follows similar actions by other crypto platforms adjusting to tightening regulations under the EU’s Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) legislation. Bybit assured users outside the EU that services would continue uninterrupted and highlighted its focus on expanding in other compliant jurisdictions. The exchange also pledged to keep users updated on any future changes regarding EU access. Industry analysts suggest this could signal a broader trend of exchanges prioritizing regulatory alignment over rapid expansion in uncertain markets. Bybit remains one of the top global exchanges by trading volume, with a strong presence in Asia and the Middle East.
